FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo finished reaching record attendance and higher international demand

The main business platform in Latin America for the fashion industry and childcare articles focused on baby and children aged from 0 to 16 years old was attended by exhibitors and shopkeepers from various countries.

 

Over the four days of the events, FIT 0/16 – International Trade Show for Baby & Children’s Wear Fair and Pueri Expo – International Trade Fair for Baby & Childcare Products, which finish on Sunday (10th June), recorded a number of 9,424 visitors coming from all over Brazil and also from Argentina , Bolivia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, United States, Israel, Italy, Peru, Uruguay. A record number that strengthens the event’s position as the largest trade fair for the children’s sector. During the four days of both trade fairs, the audience get to know the latest news in the industry presented by 300 brands from 22 countries, such as Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Chile, Germany, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, Uruguay and the United States.

 

The event took place at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, and it was a success according to Cassiano Facchinetti, Koelnmesse Brasil general director, organiser of the event. “We carried out another edition and as a result we have satisfied exhibitors and visitors. We brought a record number of visitors and a 40% increase in the number of exhibiting brands. Also noteworthy is the number of countries taking part in the fair. We aim to internationalize the event and we are pleased to observe that achieve it every edition, he states. “In our conversations with the exhibitors, they have not only emphasized the number of visiting shopkeepers, but also the high qualification of the audience.” Facchinetti also points out that the exhibitors’ commitment regarding the forthcoming editions of the trade fair proves that they had a good event.

 

The business developed at FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo should be included in IEMI’s Market Intelligence estimates, which indicate that the clothing and footwear segments for children should generate R$ 53 billion in the Brazil’s retail market by the end of this year, a volume 7.9% higher compared to last year’s results. These figures do not include light and heavy childcare articles.

 

In addition to several lecturers given by renowned professionals who provide practical tips for the shopkeepers use in their daily routine, the Sebrae Móvel participated for the first time in the event answering questions and giving the most diverse specialized guidelines on the business of children’s clothing and childcare articles. Most of the interested parties were individual micro entrepreneurs seeking ways to improve their results, in particular, demand of professionals from Amazonas, Sergipe and Ceará. Also, there were questions about adjustment of the trading industry compliance regarding social networks and how to reach specific niche markets, such as women over 35 years old branch.

 

Following tradition, the kid’s catwalk is the highlight of the event and companies such as Anime, Authoria, Daya, Happy Girl, Sweet Cotton, Bru Bru and Kiki & Mily participated in the fashion show. The Ascap – Business Association of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe brought to the catwalk the brands Charminho, Castle Adventure, Meta Mania, Kids Waves and Trakids. The Bazaar Kids magazine finalised the activities on the catwalk.
